Tropical ReGen
A ClimateForce Project
Tropical ReGen’s core mission is to protect and maintain two foundational symbols of Far North Queensland: Reef & Rainforest
Tropical Regen aims to regenerate a rainforest corridor in the Daintree—the oldest rainforest system in the world (100-180 million years old).
Our pilot property is 372 acres of overgrown farm that borders two pristine biodiverse ecosystems—the rainforest and mangroves.
To return the landscape to its original setting, Tropical ReGen will bridge a wildlife corridor between the mangroves and the rainforest.
A valuable ecosystem will develop to protect endangered animals and fauna of the region including cassowaries, flying foxes and tree kangaroos.
What’s Next?
Located in Far North Queensland, Australia we are working alongside Traditional Owners and the local community to restore 370 acres of wildlife corridor between mangroves and wet rainforest.
Once secured, over half a million native trees will be planted on the property resulting in significant carbon abatement.
Through the implementation of the project, we intend to produce a scalable blueprint for off-grid sustainable development, which can be adopted worldwide.
